Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience which includes:
(1) Managing or monitoring civil or military construction projects; (2) Observing work and work methods to ensure that construction practices are being performed in accordance with safety requirements; and (3) Producing daily construction progress reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Specialized Experience GS-09:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
(1) reviewing contractor's proposed work and plans; (2) recommending changes in contract requirements with at-the-site conditions; and (3) ensuring strict adherence to safety provisions of the contract. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). Specialized Experience GS-10:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
(1) managing large, complex civil or military construction projects; (2) reviewing contractor quality assurance plans and reports for completeness and accuracy; and (3) observing all phases of construction to ensure compliance with contract schedules, specifications and shop drawings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Specialized Experience GS-11:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
(1) Interpreting plans and specifications to ensure that contractor's work is performed in accordance with accepted construction practices and good workmanship; (2) communicating with contractor representatives for mutual understanding and agreement; (3) ensuring strict adherence to all applicable safety provisions to the contract; and (4) Managing construction project at all stages to resolve problems encountered during field visits. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
